cross-cultural-continental exchange in the age of physical distancing between UAE – USA. ⁣

In March 2020, Ihab Darwish received an invitation from the US Embassy in UAE to collaborate with the American pianist and Composer John Beasley, and debuted their first collaborative composition. Also, it was discussed about collaborating for the first time, finding modes to work together when we apart; and how they fuse musical traditions and learn new vocabularies to create new music.⁣

It was the first Cross-Cultural-Continental Exchange between UAE – USA in the age of physical distancing. The cooperation was organized and presented by New York University Arts Center in Abu Dhabi.
